Welcoming local artist Yelena Barbalich to the gallery

Yelena has a distinct and persevering style, all her own, which expresses her sense of continuity, cohesion and rhythm.

Yelena can barely write her name, however, it is evident by looking at her work she is driven to create as it naturally flows from her.

Along with numerous exhibitions, her work has been used in graphic designs for governmental policy documents, the cover of a book and the glass front doors of a building on Tory Street in Wellington.

The medium she uses in this work is felt pen on paper. Originals on display in the gallery now.
